The Whitewater Wildcats concluded the 2009 season by being crowned the AAAA State Champions. The 'Cats went undefeated in the State Playoffs after winning the 3-AAAA Area Tournament. The 'Cats defeated Marist in the State Finals 3 - 0 to take the Championship. Whitewater finished the season with a 39-14 record and was ranked #1 in the AAAA in Georgia. Junior-Outside Hitter, Helen Menchinger was selected as the AAAA Player of the Year while she and Junior-Setter, Kaylee Kehoe were both selected for the AAAA All-State Team. Coach Ben Thacker was selected as the AAAA Coach of the Year.
