Attire: Cap & Gown
Proper dress for under the graduation robe is shirt, tie, dark slacks, dark shoes for males and dress or skirt/blouse, low heels or flats for females.
If your child does not plan on participating in the graduation ceremony please notify his English teacher who will then forward that information to Mrs. Pina.
*If your child wishes to attend graduation, he or she must be at all practices and must dress appropriately.

Senior Final Exams and Exemptions
A senior who will be graduating at the end of second semester may exempt the exam(s) in any class(es) where he/she has not been tardy and has at least an 80% average provided he/she has not been absent from school or checked in late or signed out early a combined total of more than five times for any reason (excused or unexcused).
A senior who has lost credit may not exempt any exam under any category.
Seniors begin exempting classes May 14 and 15.
Seniors who wish to exempt one or more exams must complete an exam exemption form.

Baccalaureate Service for Graduating Seniors

New Hope North Baptist Church
Baccalaureate is a multi-denominational, religious ceremony held prior to graduation. Graduates need to be dressed in cap and gown. Participation in the Baccalaureate is entirely optional; however if you do wish to participate, you MUST attend baccalaureate practice on Monday, May 19 at 1:00, and you must be present that evening at 6:00 p.m. When you arrive for practice you should not bring food and drinks inside. Please remove your hats.
*Baccalaureate Practice 1:00 pm at New Hope North Baptist Church.
*Baccalaureate begins 7:00 pm. Participating students arrive 6:00 pm
**It is the graduate’s responsibility to mail his/her final transcript to the college or university he/she will be attending in the Fall.
During the graduation ceremony the graduate will receive a diploma cover. Senior folders must be picked up in the gym immediately after the graduation ceremony on May 23. Beginning May 30, senior transcripts and other student data must be requested through the FCBOE Records Center at the Lafayette Education Center.
**Please remember that until/unless you have cleared all obligations, you will not receive your diploma.
