Fundraising

What is Pennies For Patients?
Pennies For Patients is one of the many School & Youth Programs that provide help to patients and their families, fund research and increase public awareness of leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood cancers.

Since 1994, millions of dollars have been raised in pennies and other spare change by more than 10 million elementary, middle and high school students throughout the country. The funds, collected during a three-week period, benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We raise money by placing jars in every homeroom class and the teachers and students place money in the jars. The jars are collected three times a week.

Last year, WHS raised the most in the state of Georgia (over $22,000!) and we ranked 6th in the nation!
