College visit procedures:

Seniors are allowed 2 days for college visits. The visits are excused and will not count against exam exemption.

Juniors are allowed 2 days for college visits. The visits are excused and will not count against exam exemption.

Students must go to the attendance office to get the form for the visit, have all teachers sign it, and return the form to attendance one day prior to the visit. The "Confirmation of Off-Campus College Visit" portion is to be signed by a college official and turned back in to attendance within 3 days of the visit or it will be marked as an unexcused absence.

To request transcripts and recommendation letters students must come by guidance and fill out a request. Transcripts are $3.00 per request and require a 48 hour notice. Letters of recommendation require a 3 week notice.

Request for copies of immunizations: Students need to fill out a request form and will be charged $3.00. 48 hour notice required

Superintendent's Student Advisory Council
This council will meet four times a year with State Superintendent of Schools Kathy Cox to discuss how decisions made at the state level are affecting students throughout Georgia. Members are advisors and act as liaisons between the Dept. of Ed and the students of Georgia. All students grades 9 - 12 are eligible to apply. Meeting dates are: Oct. 20, 2008; December 8, 2008; February 9.2009; and April 13, 2009. applications are available in Guidance and must be received by September 12, 2008

When you are accepted to the college of your choice please come by Guidance to let us know.

If you receive a scholarship or award we need to know. Bring your letter of confirmation and we will make a copy of it.
 

Mid-year reports. What are they? Some colleges require a mid-year report. That is your updated transcript from the first semester. Please check your college website to see if it is a part of your requirement. This can apply even if you have already been accepted and it is vital that it is done.
